CFB NCAA 25 Sure Hands Ability Test
CFB 25 Sure Hands Ultimate Team Ability
The Sure Hands Ability in CFB 25 allows your receiver to secure contested catches at a higher rate. Our goal was to find out how big the increase was at each ability level to determine if Platinum Sure Hands was worth the cost of investment.
To test this we wrote a test script to snap the ball, drop back and step into a pass at the exact same time in the wide receivers route on every sample. The script then switches onto the wide receiver at the exact same time in the route every time and calls for an aggressive catch.
We used a curl route and only counted the sample if the defender hit the wide receiver during the catch. All stats other than catch in traffic were controlled for. The same defensive play and defender were used for every sample.
We ran this script 1000 times and recorded the results at each ability level. The Catch in Traffic rating used for each Ability level matches the rating required to unlock the badge.
